Andrea Husarova
The dynamic force behind AHD’s creative vision, Andrea’s design excellence spans across branding, print, packaging, and merchandising. An expert in color marketing, she balances both a global design perspective with individual client needs. Andrea founded AHD, a design practice that for many years has set Fortune 500 clients apart with vivid, innovative solutions. She has earned numerous design awards, and her work has been published in Graphic Design USA. She was trained in the fine arts in both European and American schools.
Sara Minion
An organized problem solver with aesthetic sensitivity and an exquisite feel for color, Sara brings a fresh viewpoint to every assignment. Her experience ranges from designing print collateral and packaging to color correction and production management. Before joining AHD; she was a brand manager with Suttle-Strauss, Inc., in Waunakee, Wisconsin; and a designer at Sigler Companies of Ames, Iowa. Sara earned her graphic design degree at Iowa State, and studied typography and packaging in Rome.
Aya Matsuo
Clean design and vibrant color distinguish Aya’s work on assignments that range from advertising to corporate Identity. Her design solutions have included work for clients such as PPG Industries, Bayer MaterialSciences, and UPMC Eye Center. She has earned two awards from Graphic Design USA. Inspired by displays in the beauty and fashion industries, Aya studied architectural drawing at the Art Land Design School and the Ishiyama Architect Design School in Osaka, and then left Japan to earn her associate degree from the Art Institute of Pittsburgh.
Adam Milliron
Originally trained as a commercial photographer, Adam reinvented himself as an innovative and versatile designer who maintains an artful equilibrium between cool professionalism and vibrant enthusiasm. At AHD, he applies his experience and collaborative skills to all phases of visual communication, from concept development to research, layout, typography, and production. As a highly-published photographer, Adam has shot in Los Angeles, California, and Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, for accounts ranging from Axxess Technologies to Lloyds of Germany, Chemistrie Eyewear, Westfalia, and Red Bull USA.
Craig Thompson
An artist who combines commercial savvy with a fine-arts perspective, Craig captures images that uncover surprising aspects of architecture, people, and products for clients like Motorola USA, Mellon Financial, Hyatt Hotels, and Sub-Zero Refrigerator. An apprenticeship with a sculptor shaped his grasp of light, shadow and space. He has earned two grants from the National Endowment for the Arts, while his work has been seen at Pittsburgh’s Carnegie Museum of Natural History and is included in a number of museum and private collections.
George Heidekat
George is a seasoned craftsman with an analytical approach. Decades of experience have honed his ability to write compelling creative and technical copy. He takes the lead in problem-solving workshops, information architecture, and content strategy at AHD. Preceding his relationship with AHD, George built a 25-year communications career. Among his clients: Westinghouse, Alcoa, the Hardwood Manufacturers Association, PPG Industries, and Carnegie Mellon University. He earned his
journalism degree at Duquesne University, and did postgraduate
work in graphic design at Carnegie Mellon.
